Attaboy MK II is perhaps a misnomer for this hat as unlike most Attaboy hats, it actually has an open-crown which is hand-creased. The Attaboy influence has come from a particularly beautiful example that I own in a very similar shade of navy blue. If you are a vintage hat aficionado like me, you might be aware that grey, black and drab colours were most common, whereas navy blue is a relatively rare colour. Here I've kept similar proportions to the Attaboy which is best described as a shape somewhere between a racing felt and a Paul Newman western. This styling has become somewhat my signature design with a simple chenille band, a beautiful Ruskin-style arts and crafts cabochon pewter broach and a rather flamboyant setting of yellow rooster feathers. This is a snap-brim hat which as been shaped into the cavalier style brim with a light, asymmetrical sweep.
