I have made a numbeR of hats that I consider costume pieces. These hats are “pseudo-historic” in that I am not attempting to accurately recreate a hat of a specific era or culture; my rebellious streak keeps me from accepting the constraints of re-enactment-level accuracy and so these pieces are definitely “not correct”!
I invite you to contact me if you see something you like here; these hats sit in my studio and I would definitely say they come from an experimental phase of my hat making career – While they would look good on stage and could absolutely be worn day-to-day, the finish is slightly non-standard compared with my premium hats on the main page. That said, the materials I used are still of the same high grade and they certainly are striking designs.
I am interested in taking commissions for TV, film and theatre. If you are looking to develop character-hats or something unique, I would be interested to work with you. Please use the contact page to make an enquiry.
