The Adventurer is formed on a high, tapered crown block which I have since modified into a different shape; ensuring this is the one and only hat to ever come from this block. It has a hand formed C-crown, a deep front pinch and a flat brim with slight downturn to the front and slight upturn at the back. is formed from a western-weight chocolate-brown felt which is still in a rough, un-pounced state. it has a one-inch band of contrasting gold grosgrain. This hat is unlined and features a simple leather sweatband. it somehow evokes a style of hat seen in Australia in the early-mid 20th century attributed to brands such as Akubra. This is a rugged hat ideally suited to rough handling, outdoor pursuits and travel. It will keep the wearer shaded from the sun and sheltered from the rain. It will weather nicely and still look fantastic when it is beaten and scuffed, stained and faded. It is a blank canvas for you to chart your own adventure!
